There are varieties of Mechanical Fine Screens available in the market that are used to remove floating fine sized material flowing in the Sewage. These Screens are a part of primary treatment which is the physical treatment given to sewage before secondary i.e. biological treatment in a sewage treatment plant. Due to the type of construction of conventional screens, they cannot effectively remove the screenings.
Conventional fine screens are manufactured out of screen bars (flats) placed either vertically or horizontally at a required distance. The bars for screening are placed parallel leaving required distance (equal to size of screening to be removed) to enable trapping of solids. This type of construction puts limitation over efficiency of screenings removal, because though the screen bars are placed at a required distance/spacing no effective arrangement for trapping of solids is available from the other direction. This impedes removal of cloth, pieces of rope and other flat but long objects. The conventional screens operate on the principal of mat formation, whereas HNB's perforated multi-scrapper type screens (Patent pending) operates and removes screenings in floating and scrapping condition. This approach ensures very high screenings removal efficiency.
Designing, installing, commissioning multi rake Mechanical Fine Screen along with SS Belt Conveyor / Screw Conveyor of suitable size. The screen is consistent in removing screening particles of more than 6 mm size by providing perforated sheet and wiper system to ensure 98% trapping of screenings of more than 6 mm. Head loss within the screen is only 4-5 cms. The screen is manufactured in SS & appropriate grad and is supplied with separate electric drives for a screen as well conveyor belt.
